As part of the New Centre Project, an investment of over $1 billion by Ivanhoé Cambridge to enliven the heart of downtown Montreal, Place Ville Marie is proud to announce the official opening of Cathcart Restaurants and Biergarten to the general public on January 23, 2020.
The new downtown dining destination will soon offer Montrealers a unique and varied culinary offering consisting of three full-service restaurants, nine counters, two cafés, and nearly 1,000 seats, in addition to the Biergarten located beneath the imposing 650 m² (7,000 sq ft) PVM Glass Pavilion, an architectural feat by Sid Lee Architecture in collaboration with Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architects. This interior garden, a public space bathed in light and vegetation, will offer a social and festive experience where guests can enjoy fine dining and drinking.
This common area will quickly become a living space that adapts to different daily activities and will quickly become the perfect place for after-work meetings.
Ideas and Urban Solutions designed several of the steel and aluminum elements in this project.
